The Continuing Resolution is all about extending the federal discretionary funds after April 28, 2017. Honestly, Congress has the Power of the Purse so with the threat of a Government Shutdown by the Democrats I say WHO CARES?
“They” claim Shutdown Government. Nope. No. No it is not a shutdown. It is a slowdown, a partial shutdown that keeps Congress from spending money but funds the military and other critical organizations within government. There have been slowdowns in the last several years and hey, I am all good with the slowing down of D.C. nonsense. (Read: Can the House Avoid a Government Shutdown?)
This piece by Rachel Bovard is interesting: Shunning the Shutdown. Beware the OMNIBUS spending bill! (Yes, the thought of the Omnibus bill makes me want to spit!) Remember this in 2014?
