Queso de Chihuahua and Cinco de Mayo

Oh my goodness. You have not had Queso until you have had Queso de Chihuahua! It is absolutely buttah, Baby!

My friend, who is from the Colonies, went home to see family for a mini-vacation and brought back a wonderful chunk of queso as a gift. It is a deliciously light, creamy, dreamy, smooth like fresh, butter white queso. I cannot even describe the wonderful texture and taste of this cheese though after some searching this is explanation, though interesting, does not do it justice. It is truly something you have to experience because I have never seen or tasted a queso quite like it.

Thank you Divine Miss M!

On another note, here is the story of Cinco de Mayo, The Battle of Puebla, courtesy of History.com and another fascinating read from FoxNews.com: It’s Cinco de Mayo — Don’t be a misinformed, insensitive nitwit…

Cinco de Mayo. Who needs a reason to celebrate?

Yeah, not us. And in this house, we do it without the booze. We choose Queso de Chihuahua and Herb Alpert. (Ting!
