The Caravan vs Senator Mike Lee

Evidently I missed this interview with Senator Mike Lee on Glenn Beck the other day.  I always appreciate how tempered Mike Lee is in his solution based approach to catastrophic events that are designed to wreak havoc on the American People.

Thanks Mike, for taking the time to go on Glenn Beck to #FrameTheDebate for this sensible solution.

Sen. Mike Lee urges asylum agreement with Mexico as migrant caravan heads for US border

“Mexico would require people who enter Mexico, let’s say from Honduras or El Salvador or any of these other countries in Central America… with the intent of claiming asylum, they would have to claim asylum in Mexico rather than in the Untied States. Now, this would be similar to an agreement we already have in place with Canada and a rule imposed by the E.U. for refugees arriving in E.U. countries from Syria,” Lee explained.

“In other words, when people are fleeing a country that is dangerous to them … they ought to apply for asylum in the first country they reach,” he added.

#AreYouListening Marco Rubio? Mitch McCONnell? And for the sake of Florida I hope Senator Bill Nelson (Rated F) gets a clue.

10 Day Social Media Fast: Day 8

Reading the news is not social media. Posting my thoughts and reactions on my blog is more like journalism.

When I read this article the other day on the Blaze I about tipped over backwards from rolling my eyes:

Yeah. Right. So now, after the election there is an alleged attempt to possibly have another feigned effort/promise to be finally kept by the GOP to do what the people have wanted done on Day 1 of the Trump Presidency? Now there is a bravado on the tail end of the small and #NotPermanentTaxCuts, #FullRepealEpicFail and the #Cromnibus?

Rachel Bovard discusses some of my thoughts in her article Building the Wall After All?:

“For the last two years, House Republicans have been frustrated as their leadership remains content to allow the Senate to call the shots, unwilling to engage openly in favor of their own priorities. (Or, for that matter, their own bills. Nearly 600 House bills are languishing in the Senate, waiting for action.)”

And this bill touted by Kevin McCarthy, who might be out to kill the Jim Jordan nomination for Speaker of the House as the Paul Ryan replacement?

Uh, it truly seems calculated, disingenuous, duplicitous, and extremely manipulative in this eleventh hour. I would have been more impressed if McCarthy insisted the House go on the record BEFORE this election cycle instead of afterwards.

On another note…

Glenn Beck had a great program today with his guest Dr. James Lindsay.  Seriously, you have to listen to the entire interview. It is absolutely brilliant.
