Never to be conquered: We, the People, must #FrameTheDebate

Mike Lee deserves far more respect and support than he currently gets from the PRL (Progressive Republican Leadership). He is one of the most measured men in the Senate. He is thoughtful. He is prudent. He is a superb listener. He is a scholar of the United States Constitution. He has a great capacity to act with decisiveness and in wisdom. He is a man never to be conquered. And then there are others, like Mike Lee, who are never to be conquered.

Jim DeMint is one of those men and he founded the Conservative Partnership Institute to help We, the People, help those in Washington, D.C. who are trying to #DrainTheSwamp

Jenny Beth Martin, founder of the Tea Party Patriots, is a woman never to be conquered. She continues to press the PRL to keep their promises.

Dennis Prager is doing an amazing work through his Prager University online videos

Janine Turner’s Constituting America is a fabulous organization for she, like Mr. Prager and Mr. DeMint understand the foundational education process necessary to bring up the next generation of Conservative Guardians for our Nation.

Larry Arn of Hillsdale College was one of the first to initiate free online classes to help enlighten the masses about our divinely inspired Constitution. His programs have inspired many fine young people to enter into the political realms, armed with knowledge well steeped in original thoughts from the framers of our government.

This list is not an exhaustive one. It is one where I choose to place my time and or money in support of men and women never to be conquered.

And one more thing. Be sure to watch THE SWAMP, Episodes 1 – 3.

Middle of the Road: The tale of tales

I read this piece posted on Glenn Beck the other day:

So I tweeted the afore mentioned article link to Marco Rubio’s new Chief of Staff, Mike Needham, (an acquaintance of mine) and he responded with this article:

The first article has several links in it. I have briefly checked out a couple of them, for I have not yet had time to peruse them because words mean something and it is important to go through them to discover what is is in the article.

Mike Lee’s name was invoked in the second article.  Knowing what Senator Lee is committed to in a Conservative Reform Agenda is easy to track online for consistency in principles.

Tax Reform

Education Reform

Infrastructure Reform

Justice Reform

Workforce Reform

Regulatory Reform

“…while it is important to oppose the policies of an overreaching and unsustainable federal government, we must also make a positive case for conservative ideas; ideas that create a space for a conservative vision of society to flourish.”

~ Senator Mike Lee

The middle road. It is where the Chicken laid one on the line after crossing the road halfway.

The middle road. It reminds me of the Clarence Thomas quote

“Today, there is much talk about moderation. It reminds me of a former colleague of mine at the EEOC [Equal Employment Opportunity Commission] who often joked that he was a ‘gun-toting moderate’ – a curiously oxymoronic perspective. Just think of that: dying over half a loaf.”

There is a big difference between a middle road and the middle of the road. There is also a big difference between taking a wrong road and continuing down the wrong road opposed to taking the right middle road that leads you to your destination, the common good for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Conservativism is what it is. Everything else is not.

Who will help me make Government Small Again?

Tonight Senator Mike Lee held a live event on his Facebook page that was also linked to his Senate page. As always, watching and listening to Mike is like sitting in Church. I feel so much better hearing him listen to questions, then answer people with clear, plain language so there is no misunderstanding as to where he stands on issues or about the principles he so heartedly defends.

His closing comments were absolutely fantastic. I wish those comments and the following was on YouTube so I could embed them. They are not yet available, but here is my transcription of a short video on his Twitter feed:

“In order to have economic growth we do need to adjust the size, the scope, the cost of the federal government. And when we look at so called tax pay-fors, we shouldn’t just be looking to raise taxes on anyone, we should, instead, be looking for ways to make government more effective, make government more efficient, make sure the government can do more with less.

Business all around America do this constantly as they have to adjust to market cycles, as they have to adjust to real world conditions.

Tragically, the government hasn’t held itself to that same standard. And as a result government has continued to grow, the cost of it has continued to expand and to do so at an unacceptably high rate….”  ~ Senator Mike Lee, October 25, 2017

Please, go to Mike’s YouTube page. Get your information on Mike Lee from the original source, Mike Lee, so you can see how truly a Consistent Conservative he is.

It is NOT the Government’s money:

Watch Mike on today’s Senate Republican’s broadcast regarding the Parent Tax Penalty. The entire broadcast is great. Mike comes in around the 14 minute mark.

Editing No-no’s but I Did-did anyway

Chalking it up to old age, I just went through several posts and corrected the ###/365 numbers. No, I did not make note of it on each page so sorry for my followers who just got pinged again with old posts.

Jump Rope Personal Challenge: Event 5

Event 5 of the JRPC opened today and I am at the point I just want it over with. It was fun to jump each challenge. In a few months I will do it again. Sometime. Sometime in the many months future. Probably sometime in the far future.

In fifteen attempts to do a double under I got close twice. It was hot. It was humid. The air in the box was barely moving in the smaller back area of the box. In order to meet the challenge of 250 single unders in the sultry Alabama summer, I pressed forward, leaving the double under for another day. Originally I set the board up for 1,000 singles but after hitting the first one hundred I felt my muscles whispering – 2 5 0 and stay focused

I took my advice and locked into that 150 to just get it done. Glad I had a plan. It was a reasonable workout after Monday’s 500 with the 2 LB rope

The good news is I am ready to go back to the torture comfort of CrossFit at Guns Out CrossFit

Thank you Senator Lee with a Boo Hiss to GOP Progressive Leadership

I am thankful Mike stood on voting principle to vote against NDAA and for continuous support to #MakeGovernmentAccountable to the people.

Boo Hiss to GOP Progressive Leadership for passing bills without exercising the will of the people to #MakeGovernmentTransparent.

The Killers of Conservative Values

http://www.RushLimbaugh.com

Honestly, I am so sick of McConnell and Ryan I am past wanting to spit. They are not, seemingly, honorable leaders of a Conservative movement. They are not, or so it seems, concerned with voters or what we want. They seem to be totally unconcerned about promoting Conservative Values. They seem to be consistently killing those values while smirking, smiling, and posing for the cameras. They are #TheEstablishment. The certainly seem to prove themselves #Progressives.

I think Rush has possibly nailed it: McConnell and Ryan Are Just Fine with Trump’s Deal

Thanks to Mike Lee, who is truly the #ConsistentConservative:

“Raising the debt limit without spending reforms is bad policy. Tying the debt limit to emergency disaster relief is a disgraceful process. The American people deserve better and I will not vote for this status quo deal that only perpetuates the worst of Washington.”  ~ Senator Mike Lee

FULL Repeal is Tax Reform!

This is going to be brief because seriously, I am so sick of the Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell lies regarding so many things that I could spit.

Mark Sandford was right.

Mike Lee was right.

Seven years of promises and now the Republican Progressives are equally as corrupt as any Democrat Progressive when it comes to looking out for the taxpayers. And so are the alleged Moderates.

There is no stinking thing as a Moderate. A Moderate is also a Progressive.

Spit.

Bottom line, I cannot read one more report about anything to do with whatever the current bill is being promoted or set out there to keep, even partially, ObamacareHELL.

The principle of good governance depends on leaders who understand choice and accountability, the law of the harvest – meaning bad things happen to good people but when looked at with the law of abundance, there is enough to go around IF the government gets out of the way.

Everyone knows the government does not create wealth nor can it compel a spirit of charity or benevolence, or altruism as the secularists call it.

Government gives and takes money away. It takes from some to give to others. That is not charity. That is forced redistribution of wealth and that is neither freedom nor benevolence.

Real tax reform begins with Full Repeal of the Obamacare Tax. There cannot be any bailouts. And Congress needs to get a grip on itself. Congress must rise up to CUT, CAP and BALANCE THE BUDGET if real tax reform is to have any effect. Congressional addiction to living out of taxpayer pockets must end.

Tell The Truth: Say it over and over again

Every time you see Mitch McConnell and his Senate Cronies play their videos or promote Obamacare 2.0 or 2.2 simply push back by retweeting the following thoughts:

  • Why not get rid of the federal government’s oppressive overreach? Just #FullRepeal.
  • Repeal has united us for years therefore #FullRepeal. #GetWashingtonDCOuttaMyWay
  • Why make everyone suffer on AHCA or BCRA? #FullRepeal.
  • I will not be forgotten! #ObamacareHurts therefore #FullRepeal.
  • #FullRepeal is the right message. End the suffering.
  • Be loyal to your #FullRepeal promise! #BeTrue to your constituents.
  • You can #Repeal at least two-thirds of #Obamacare with #51Votes.
  • Show #Bipartisan good will with Sen Mike Lee for #FullRepeal
  • Why didn’t you support the full #CFAmendment negotiated with #CruzLee?
  • Why did you gut the #CruzLeeAmendment? #FullRepeal. #StopTheOppression
  •  Allow exchanges to offer an insurance policy that a consumer would want to buy and an insurer would want to offer, #FullRepeal
  • #GetWashingtonDCOuttaMyWay and end the conflict with #FullRepeal

Reclaim America. Just tell the truth over and over again.

Part 3: My takeaway from Mike Lee

The more Progressive Republicans pushback against Mike Lee for his ability and willingness to stand for the Forgotten Men and Women in America, the more I believe in him. Therefore, to Senator Orrin Hatch: Get Out of the Way. I will not be forgotten and that is why I stand with Mike Lee. By the way Orrin, I hit back too, you Republican Progressive. (Spit)

To help Senator Hatch see how shortsighted he is when it comes to seeing things as they really are just go to the Original Source, Mike Lee:

And now, for Senator Hatch’s benefit, let us lead off with a fantastic question from the Glenn Beck interview:

Why have Senate Republicans not yet voted on that which they promised for seven years they would enact if given the opportunity? Why have they not yet voted even on the 2015 version of the repeal bill.

You cannot accuse someone who wants us to do simply that which we promised, of wrecking the effort to do that which we promised, when that person — me — is simply advocating for us to do what we said we would do. That’s all we’re asking here. It’s not too much to ask, nor is it something that the American people should be asked to back away from.

  • We’ve been asked to settle over and over and over again as Americans.
  • ...it’s not time to settle.
  • ...time to expect more.
  • …time for us to keep our word.

Are you listening, Orrin? Remember when you first ran for the senate, in Utah? I do. What have you become?

Mike Lee continues to frame the debate stating:

  • Help is coming, I hope…..when we can pass something that will get rid of the federal government’s oppressive reach.
  • [to] solve all of our problems through the federal government….when we try to pretend that we can do that, we end up making things worse.
  • It ends up being really good for the rich and the well-connected…handful of big wealthy corporations and power brokers ….and a few other major cities will do really well…But everyone else tends to suffer.

Are you listening, Orrin? The fact is that Mike Lee is not fighting for dominance. Mike Lee is a far more tempered individual than you are, in my ever to be humble opinion.

  • the best relief we can provide… is to get Washington out of your way so that you can do what you do best and so that people will compete to provide health care services to you.

So there it is. Free Market Healthcare. Mike Lee gets it. He is not confused. He fully understands that Americans, the ones who put the GOP in office, want to be free to choose. And then BOOM! Mike Lee seals his argument again (my emphasis added):

“The problem with this is that the one thing that always has united us has been repeal. And that’s what we should have done at the outset.

There never has been widespread agreement among Republicans on what should come next. So we should start with what unites us.

Repeal has united us for several years.

Repeal needs to be the message right now. And repeal is the one thing we can achieve.”

There you have it Senator Hatch. Basta and back off dude. You can tell all of your little anonymous Republican Progressives the same thing, especially those who will not stand behind full repeal.

Part 2: My takeaway from Mike Lee

Part 1 of my takeaway here. Now on to the more of the Mike Lee – Glenn Beck conversation:

  • once we get on to the bill, it becomes very, very difficult to change it

Screen Shot 2017-07-20 at 11.03.10 AMNow, that point brings me to something I read by The Editors in the Wall Street Journal that, frankly, makes me want to spit at the editorial. The fact is Mike Lee clearly explains the process and why going after FULL Repeal is one of those Might As Well‘s. (Ten points to Katie, a fellow Sentinel, for her concise statement in rebuttal. The Editors article is indeed, crap.)

Mike Lee continues:

“Now, I’m still convinced that we can pass something. I’m still convinced that we could pass either some variation of this bill, with some changes made to it. Changes that I believe would be relatively easy to make. Or alternatively, that we could get on to a full repeal and just pass that.”

So there it is. Just pass that. Full Repeal.

  • …the further we depart from what we’ve been promising
  • …what every Republican who has campaigned for any federal office
  • all campaigned on one consistent theme: Repeal Obamacare.
  • make sure that we’re faithful to that promise.

Boom WSJ, The Editors. Consider that a Gibbs Slap for the backs of your heads.

But wait! There is more to the Mike Lee persuasion method! And perhaps this is why WSJ, The Editors, are attacking the most measured thinking man for his methods.

  • we can repeal it with 51 votes.
  • we can repeal at least two-thirds of it with 51 votes
  • we got that through the parliamentary and under this reconciliation measure in 2015.

Ahhhh and now the kicker:

“I also believe we could add to that one and get in some additional features, the title one health care regulations. At least in part, it could be added to those and get those repealed.

As to whether we can get the votes, there are some who are expressing skepticism about that. But, Glenn, I’m unwilling to assume that we can’t get there just because some moderates don’t like it.

Music to my ears: Unwilling to assume just because some moderates don’t like it. Again. Another Gibbs Slap for The Editors. Mike Lee has that never quit attitude. He is never out of the fight for the Forgotten Man.

Oh wait! There is more! But look! It is the House Freedom Caucus, not the Senate but hey, look who is feeling inspired because ONE MAN stands for something.

This is where I end this piece with a new hashtag:

#MikeLeeForSenateMajorityLeader.
